On October 4th Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met newly appointed ambassador of the United Kingdom to the country Peter Bateman.
The ambassador handed over a copy of his credentials to the Azerbaijani Minister, expressing satisfaction with his appointment.
The diplomat said the two countries had huge potential to develop economic and trade cooperation.
Bateman underlined during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding relationship between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom even more.
Mammadyarov congratulated the British ambassador and wished him successes in his activities.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
