Azerbaijani parliamentarian, member of the PACE Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, Ganira Pashayeva has met Speaker of the Israeli parliament, Knesset, Reuven Rivlin.
Pashayeva presented materials to Rivlin about the realities of Azerbaijan, including genocides committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis, destruction of historical and cultural monuments by them in the occupied territories.
She also donated books and materials on Azerbaijan`s history and culture to the library of Knesset.
Pashayeva also met Israel`s deputy foreign minister Danny Ayalon and head of the Agency for International Development Cooperation Haim Divon.
The Azerbaijani MP also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest with deputy minister for women`s affairs and youth Gila Gamliel, director of department for women affairs in Prime Minister`s office Vered Suef.
