Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday.
Minister Mammadyarov underlined Azerbaijan closely cooperates with the PACE saying these relations cover a number of fields and produce good results.
On the peace talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Elmar Mammadyarov said resolution of the dispute must be based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The minister welcomed resumption of the work of the PACE subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh, adding the Azerbaijani side totally backs this initiative and underlined the need for PACE`s continuing its efforts in this direction.
Mevlut Cavusoglu pointed out the world forum on intercultural dialogue plays a great role in the process of prevention of negative trends posing threat to religious, ethnic tolerance.
