Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met the French delegation led by members of the Senate Nathalie Goulet and Andre Villiers.
Discussions revolved around development of Azerbaijan-France cooperation, adding there is big potential for boosting it.
Senator Nathalie Goulet expressed pleasure over the visit to Azerbaijan.
Mrs. Goulet said she had eye-witnessed rapid economic development in the country.
The French senator stressed the importance of expanding cooperation opportunities in various fields.
Goulet said France officially backs territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov informed the delegation about peace talks on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
