Azerbaijan`s Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov has met President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt on the sidelines of the spring session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

They discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between the Parliament of Azerbaijan and PACE.

Ogtay Asadov recalled a visit of Pedro Agramunt to Azerbaijan as PACE President.

They noted that Azerbaijan strengthens its position in PACE.

Azerbaijan`s Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov also met with Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. The sides said relations between the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the State Duma are developing rapidly based on strategic partnership. They also discussed prospects for the bilateral cooperation.
