On October 1st President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated an education and therapeutic clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University.
Accompanied by his wife Mehriban Aliyeva, the Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the clinic and then viewed it.
The facility was established in accordance with the President's Executive Order dated September 11, 2007. The clinic features educational, therapeutic, research, treatment and diagnostics departments.
The 14-storied clinic occupies a total area of 25,000 square meters. Along with stationary patients, the 400-bead facility will also serve nearly 350 people on a daily outpatient basis. It also has 15 clinical departments, 70 classrooms and 8 lecture halls with the total capacity of 2,140 people. The clinic also houses a medical training center.
The President spoke with the Azerbaijan Medical University's students and teaching staff.
