The four-day international show-jumping tournament in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev wrapped up here with Grand Prix finals, which were watched by the Head of State, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev, his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva and President of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, her Highness Haya bint al Hussain.
The finals started after remarks of President of the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation Elchin Guliyev.
First five places were taken by Azerbaijani riders. The finals saw the participation of 12 athletes from Azerbaijan, Russia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Poland, Moldova and Belarus.
Jamal Rahimov with his horse named "Bill Clinton" was awarded the Heydar Aliyev Cup. Patrick Mc Entee with a horse Concorde57 ranked second and Gennadiy Gashibayazov finished third with a horse Latzero.
The awards were presented by President Ilham Aliyev, his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva and her Highness Haya bint al Hussain.
