President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was officially welcomed here at residence of the President of Latvia - Riga Castle on Monday.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Azerbaijani leader in front of the castle decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers and his spouse Lilita Zatlers welcomed President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva.
The presidents inspected a ceremonial guard of honor as an orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Latvia.
Latvian state and government officials were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev, while members of the Azerbaijani delegation to President Valdis Zatlers. The Presidents and their spouses posed for photographs.
