President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso met in private here on January 13th.
They stressed relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union were successfully developing in various fields.
The parties underlined the sides have good potential for energy cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev and Mr. Barroso expressed confidence relations between the country and the organization would further expand.
During the conversation, they also exchanged views on current state of and prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
