President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated a Baku ring road on November 8th.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the Head of State that the highway was constructed and rebuilt with funding of the Azerbaijan Government, Kuwait Fund For Arabic Economic Development and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. This project will allow ease traffic congestion and improve environmental situation in the capital.
Makyolcopri İnşaat ve Taahhüt A.Ş is a contractor while Azerinsaat LLC is a subcontractor. The Arab Consulting Engineers was responsible for technical control of construction
The first-class 21.5km-long road features 5 junctions and 8 overpasses.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated builders and cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the highway.
