On November 8th Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.
Mr. Lebedev said he leaded a 352-man delegation of observers from CIS countries, adding they monitored the preparations for the elections and the voting process in over 3,000 polling stations across the country.
He said the mission`s members eyewitnessed considerable changes in the look of Azerbaijan`s cities and regions as well as the people`s enthusiasm.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the CIS observers` monitoring both the preparation for the elections and the voting process itself. The Head of State also praised the fact they eyewitnessed development processes in Azerbaijan`s regions.
The President said all necessary measures had been taken in Azerbaijan to improve the electoral process, create equal opportunities for every candidate and ensure the transparency of the voting.
