Azerbaijan`s Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov met Israeli ambassador to the country Rafael Harpaz to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister hailed judicial and legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel. He also praised judicial reforms implemented in his country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The ambassador said Israel attached great importance to bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan. The diplomat added his country recognizes Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and supports peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The ambassador stressed the importance of expansion of bilateral judicial cooperation even more.
They also discussed how to increase professionalism of lawyers and judges, as well as their participation in international seminars.
Following the meeting, Rafael Harpaz viewed the Justice History Museum of the Ministry.
