“As a result of a successful policy Azerbaijan has become a modern, and dynamically developing country, which gained the respect of other states. Azerbaijan is home to representatives of different nationalities,” representative of the International Human Rights Committee in Israel Eli Nacht has told Sechki-2018.az.

Eli Nacht said that the presidential election in Azerbaijan will be an indicative of success in the democratic development of the country.

“The importance of strategic Azerbaijan-Israel relations can be equated only with the US-Israel relations. The less is known about them, the stronger and more significant they are for both sides. Israel has a few allies among the Muslim countries, especially if the leaderships of these countries enjoy a twenty-year perfect mutual understanding. I'm talking about the rapidly growing five billion dollars trade turnover, military-strategic interests, and the kindly attitude towards the Jewish community living in Azerbaijan,” Eli Nacht said.

“As practice has shown, the pledge of stability for Muslim countries, in particular the countries of the former Soviet Union, lies in a central government and a strong vertical of power. And Israel needs stability, particularly from our allies and neighbors. Our task today is to show the whole Muslim world that the union and friendship with Israel are not only possible but also significantly beneficial. This is exactly what we need to do on the example of our friendship with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan’s peaceful and independent policy is the key element of stability in this geographical area. I believe that the results of the presidential election would further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position. The economy of Azerbaijan is rapidly developing. Elections are of pivotal importance for the continuation of this development,” he said.

“As you know, representatives of different nationalities and religions live together in Azerbaijan. The results of the election are also important for maintaining this prosperous coexistence,” Eli Nacht concluded.
