President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to his Maltese counterpart George Abela as his country celebrates Independence Day.
"I believe that extension of the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Malta will open new opportunities for development of our cooperation," the Azerbaijani leader said in his message.
President Ilham Aliyev wished the Maltese leader robust health and successes in his activities, and the people of Malta peace and prosperity.
