President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev makes serious efforts for development in Azerbaijan of all sciences including medicine, conducting huge work the purpose of which is to develop medicine and bring it to the level of the world standards. To this end, the head of state has approved a special "State program on training of the Azerbaijani youth in foreign countries in 2007 - 2015".
With a view of preparation of the doctors with higher knowledge and skills, in 2000 the great leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation of "Central Clinics" in Baku. Now, operating in submission of the Special Health Service, the Clinics renders to citizens high medical service in line with the international standards. For today the great number of doctors, staff nurses and technical workers has been directed to foreign countries on courses of qualification.
President Ilham Aliyev, continuing the work started by the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, has created at the state level all conditions for training of doctors, directing them on 5-8-year training courses abroad. In 2009, the new program in this area has been prepared, and for the first time 9 doctors of the Central Clinics have been directed to the second largest clinic of the world - Austrian AKH for further improvement of qualification.
Young Azerbaijani doctors have expressed gratitude to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev for the created possibilities for the Azerbaijan youth in training abroad, have assured that will justify the hopes rested upon them.
They also have expressed gratitude to the manager of this project, chief of the Special Health Service under the President, the General Director of the National Oncology Center, academician Jamil Aliyev and the General Director of the Central Clinics Melikshah Nejmin Ajuner for care and assistance, preparation of medical personnel of high level which the republic really requires.
