A panel session of the Baku Humanitarian Forum dedicated to the high technologies is conducted at the Baku State University. The panel deals with new tendencies in the information sector in the globalized world on which the rector of University academician Abel Maharramov made his remarks, noting the importance of the Baku Forum.
The academician, in particular, touched upon the impact of information and communication technologies on development of society, as well as on news production and its consumers.
Rector of the Moscow State University Victor Sadovnichi spoke of the "Modern technologies and global disasters". Sadovnichi stressed necessity of timely defining the global problems caused by modern calamities for civilization, and find ways of solving them.
