The project of the “The quality of education through the students’ eyes” has been launched at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).

The purpose of the innovation is to involve the students to the teaching process at UNEC, to provide students’ participation in the organization of quality education, to define teaching standards in accordance with their needs and thereby to provide the improvement of the level of education.

According to the project, the representatives of UNEC’s Student Organizations in the Faculties will regularly gather the information related with the teaching process. The data obtained will be discussed in the meetings to be held with the participation of student organizations under the motto “The quality of education through the students’ eyes”. A report on faculties will be developed in accordance with the information; proposals and complaints obtained during the meetings and will be introduced to the administration.

A report about the problems arisen and the work done to solve them and positive changes in the quality of education will be developed at the end of semester. The project will also serve to the formation of cooperation between the teaching and students staffs in organization of quality of education.

The document entitled “Standards and Guidelines on Quality Provision” of the European Association of Quality Assurance was based in the development of the project. According to the document, the student is one of the main parts providing the quality of education and their involvement to the process of quality assurance is very important.
