The discussion on the railway project Qazvin–Resht– Astara (Iran)–Astara (Azerbaijan), the segment of the North-South transportation corridor, has become more active as the second working-group meeting started today in Iran’s city of Enzeli.
At the meeting, Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation led by the infrastructure department chief at Azerbaijan Railways Fizuli Guliyev and official at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran Natig Zulfigarov.
The second meeting of the Working Group was established by the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for promotion of the project, estimation and finding finance for the construction.
The first meeting was convened in May, 2013 in Baku.
