On June 19th an Azerbaijan-Russia business forum was held here.

The event was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with support of the Economic Development Ministry.

The forum was held as part of the visit of Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Kabardino-Balkar Republic Kazim Uyanayev.

Opening the event, Azerbaijan`s deputy economic development minister Niyazi Safarov spoke of successful economic reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He also highlighted favorable investment climate created in Azerbaijan.

Safarov pointed out the business forum would contribute to expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and regions of Russia.

Deputy Prime Minister Kazim Uyanayev said Kabardino-Balkar Republic was interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in various spheres of economy. He also spoke of investment climate in Kabardino-Balkar Republic.

Then presentations were made on economy, business and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan and Kabardino-Balkar Republic.

The forum was continued with bilateral meetings of businessmen who discussed prospects for cooperation.

During the visit the delegation of Kabardino-Balkar Republic will have a number of meetings and become familiar with industry institutions.
