On October 12th chief of Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev met with Austrian minister for economy, family and youth Reynhold Mitterlenher. 
Mr. Abdullayev said a visit of Austrian President Heinz Fischer to Azerbaijan will give a new impetus to development of relations between the two states. Mr Abdullayev updated the guest on achievements gained in the country`s energy sector, development of the new wells. He praised EU`s Southern gas corridor project for transportation of Azeri gas.
Mr. Mitterlenher hailed the rapidly developing relations between the two countries. He stressed the importance of cooperation in the energy sphere. He praised development of oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan.
