"Today`s discussions prove that Southern corridor project is becoming a reality thanks to both sides` efforts", ambassador of the United States Matthew Bryza stated at the evening reception organized by the embassies of the United States and UK in Azerbaijan prior to the 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference Incorporating Refining & Petrochemicals.
The American diplomat expressed gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan and all companies contributing to the project`s implementation. Addressing the reception, Special Envoy of the US Secretary of State for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar, in turn, said relations between Azerbaijan and the United States are not confined to energy area. The ambassador of UK to Azerbaijan Caroline Brown emphasized the contribution of British companies to the development of Azerbaijan economy.
Chief executive officers from top global oil companies, international organizations, public figures and diplomats participated in the reception.
