In accordance with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the Tariff (Price) Council cancelled the increase of prices for petrol AI-92 and diesel oil of local production.
According to the Tariff Council, today, on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan they held an extraordinary meeting to review the retail prices for oil products.
“At the meeting, a decision was made to eliminate Decision #1 from 12 January 2015 on an increase of prices for petrol AI-92 and diesel fuel by 0.02 manat,” the Tariff Council said in a statement.
In compliance with today’s decision, the road tax of 0.02 manat for a liter of petrol and diesel fuel will be charged from domestic prices of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). As a result, the retail price for petrol AI-92 at fuel stations returns to the level of AZN 0.70 and for diesel fuel to 0.60 manat per liter. In parallel, the wholesale price of LPG has been reduced from 300 manat to 263.6 manat per ton, and with road tax allowance fixed at the level of 300 manat per ton. This year’s second decision of the Tariff Council comes into force from 15 January 2015.
