According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds  50-110% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 100-200% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 20-40% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 20% Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On April 23, 2cm increase in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 387m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 54% of decade norm (in 2017, 350m3/sec, i.e 49% of decade norm. No change in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 154m3/sec, i.e 87% of decade norm. (in 2017, 138m3/sec, i.e 78% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On April 23, increase in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River.

In this regard, 18cm in Surra,6 cm in Shirvan,  16 cm in Salyan, 18cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras while 1 cm decrease  in Banka.

At present, water level holds 404cm (on April 23, 2017, 380cm) in Surra settlement, 263cm (on April 23, 2017, 283) in Shirvan, 191cm (on April 23, 2017, 211cm) in Salyan, 177cm (on April 23, 2017, 192cm) in Banka, while 106cm (on April 23, 2017, 80cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
