According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 110-170% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 120-160% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 10-30% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 50% Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On April 06, 15cm decrease in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 431m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 92% of decade norm (in 2017, 210m3/sec, i.e 45% of decade norm. 29cm increase in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 199m3/sec, i.e 144% of decade norm. (in 2017, 73m3/sec, i.e 53% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On April 06, increase in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River.

In this regard, 14cm in Shirvan, 6 cm in Salyan, 2cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras while

2cm in Surra, no chnage in Banka.

At present, water level holds 396cm (on April 06, 2017, 418cm) in Surra settlement, 293cm (on April 06, 2017, 295) in Shirvan, 189 cm (on April 06, 2017, 214cm) in Salyan, 183cm (on April 06, 2017, 196cm) in Banka, while 97cm (on April 06, 2017, 135cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
