According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, average monthly temperature in January is expected to be nigh to the climatic norm. Rainfalls are forecasted to be nigh to the climatic norm, it is likely to be a little more in some areas.

In Baku and Absheron peninsula

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +4-6˚C which is close to the climatic norm. The temperature will be +2-7˚C at night, up to 3 degrees of frost in some days, + 8-13˚C in the afternoon,  +1-5˚C in some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be nigh (18-28 mm norm) to the climatic norm.

In Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be from 3 degrees of frost to+1˚C which is within the climatic norm. The temperature will be from +5-10˚C at nights, 16-21 degrees of frost in mountainous areas, +7-12˚C in the afternoons, 0-5˚C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 14-25 mm).

In Upper Karabakh: Khankandi, Shusha, Khojali, Khocavand, Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Kalbajar and Dashkasan, Gadabay regions

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be 1-4 degrees of frost which is nigh to the climatic norm. The temperature will be 0-5 degrees of frost at nights, 8-13 degrees of frost in some days, +5-10˚C in the afternoons, 0-5 degrees of frost in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be nigh to the climatic norm (norm 16-24mm).

In Gazakh-Ganja, Goranboy, Tar-Tar-Agdam-Agjabadi-Fuzuli-Jabrail regions

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +1-3˚C which is close to the climatic norm. The temperature will be 0-5˚C at nights, 5-10 degrees of frost, +8-13˚C in the afternoons, while -2+ 3 ˚C in some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be nigh to the climatic norm (norm 10-32 mm).

In Balakan, Zagatala, Qakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, İsmailly, Agsu, Shamakhy, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions

Average monthly temperature is expected to be from 2 degree of frost to +3˚C which is nigh to the climatic norm. The temperature will be -2+3˚C at nights, + 7-12˚C in mountainous areas in some days, +17-22 degrees of frost in mountainous areas, +5-10 ˚C in the afternoons, while 0-5degrees of frost in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 22 49mm).

In Central-Aran: Agdash, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, İmishli, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajıgabul, Salyan, Neftchala regions

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +2-5˚C which is close to the climatic norm. The temperature will be 0-5˚C at nights, 2-7 degrees of frost in some days, +10-15˚C in the afternoons, while +2-7˚C in some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be nigh to the climatic norm (norm 17-30mm).

In Masallı-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik, Yardimli regions

Average monthly temperature is expected to be +2-6˚C, which is clos e to the climatic norm. The temperature will be +2-7˚C at nights, 0-5 degrees of frost  in some days, 10-15 degrees of frost in mountainous areas,+8-13˚C in the afternoons, while from 2 degrees of frost to +3˚C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 63-98 mm) and partly more in some areas.
