According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 130-140% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 110-150% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 110-140% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 150% Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers
On December 15, 6cm increase in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 191 m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 122% of decade norm (in 2016, 183m3/sec, i.e 117% of decade norm. 1 cm of decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 41m3/sec, i.e 54% of decade norm. (in 2016, 83m3/sec, i.e 110% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river
On December 15, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River.
In this regard, 4cm of increase in Shirvan and Banka, 16 cm in Salyan, while no change in Surra and Novruzlu settlement of Aras.

At present, water level holds 380cm (on December 15, 2016, 457cm) in Surra settlement, 265cm in Shirvan, 216 cm (on December 15, 2016, 325cm) in Salyan, 202cm (on December 15, 2016, 259cm) in Banka, while 130cm (on December 15, 2016, 180cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
