According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 150-210% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 100-130% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 20-50% in Lankaran-Astararegion rivers.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On April 010, 6cm increase in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 222m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 47% of decade norm (in 2016, 220m3/sec, i.e 46% of decade norm. No change in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 70m3/sec, i.e 51% of decade norm. (in 2016, 103m3/sec, i.e 75% of decade norm).  

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On April 10, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 1 cm decrease in Surra, 22 cm in Shirvan, 20 cm in Salyan, 5 cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras while 7 cm increase in Banka. At present, water level holds 375cm (on April 10, 2016, 428cm) in Surra settlement, 241 (on April 10, 2016, 343cm) in Shirvan, 190cm (on April 10, 2016, 267cm) in Salyan, 191cm (on April 10, 2016, 203cm) in Banka, while 80cm (on April 10, 2016, 135cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
