According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 170-180% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 210-300% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 110-210% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On March 10, 5cm decrease in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 230m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 95% of decade norm (in 2016, 270m3/sec, i.e 112% of decade norm. 1 cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 55m3/sec, i.e 66% of decade norm. (in 2016, 99m3/sec, i.e 120% of decade norm). 

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On March 10, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 6 cm in Surra, 2cm in Shirvan,  7 cm in Salyan, 20 cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras, while no change in Banka. At present, water level holds 398cm (on March 10, 2016, 426cm) in Surra settlement, 263 (on March 10, 2016, 285cm) in Shirvan, 200cm (on March 10, 2016, 233cm) in Salyan, 188cm (on March 10, 2016, 197cm) in Banka, while 103cm (on March 10, 2016, 145cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
