According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 160-210% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 170-230% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 40-90% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On January 13, 3 cm decrease in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 128m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 80% of decade norm (in 2015, 157m3/sec, i.e 98% of decade norm. 2 cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 47m3/sec, i.e 70% of decade norm. (in 2015, 54m3/sec, i.e 81% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On January 13, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 2 cm decrease in Surra, 2 cm in Salyan, 4 cm in Banka, 9 cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras while 4cm increase in Shirvan. At present, water level holds 457cm (on January 13, 2016, 449cm) in Surra settlement, 359 (on January 13, 2016, 349cm) in Shirvan, 317cm (on January 13, 2016, 308cm) in Salyan, 239cm (on January 13, 2016, 232cm) in Banka, while 176cm (on January 13, 2016, 176cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
