International Press Center hosted presentation of www.oxu.tv - the new educational WebTV.
Staff of the Kaspi Education Council, Milli Majlis (National Parliament), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports representatives and mass media attended the event.
The project`s director Azer Veliyev told it was the national educational program in preparation of which prominent experts in education sphere and television have participated.
Chairperson of the Kaspi Education Council Sona Veliyeva said the newly-established WebTV promises innovations in the sector, adding the company is its commercial and academic supporter.
The project focuses on boosting educational foundation of Azerbaijan secondary schools, ensure high-level training in all the secondary schools. It shows ways of alternative education for teachers, especially the beginners.
“One of our main priorities is concentrating schoolchildren’s interest in music, art and sports”, Veliyeva told.
The newly designed WebTV will closely cooperate with Education, Youth and Sports Ministries, various state agencies, children, youth and non-state organizations.
“www.oxu.tv will provide high quality e-lessons to viewers”, said Veliyeva
Yahya Karimov professor, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Aynur Sofiyeva, Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov, State Support Fund for Development of Mass Media under the President of Azerbaijan Republic executive director Vugar Safarli and others have agreed that the “off-line” internet version of education site is novelty in Azerbaijan.
The speakers have noted that the new Internet-TV will also assist in organizing young generation`s leisure time.
The video exhibiting site`s activity was demonstrated in the presentation.
