President of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) Joseph S. Blatter, who is here to attend ceremonies to mark the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani football and president of AFFA (Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev toured the Icharishahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital.
The visit started from the Maiden Tower, the Office of Ichari Shahar (Inner City) State Historical-Architectural Reserve said. Joseph S. Blatter was informed on the history of the tower and reconstruction and conservation works.
FIFA president visited two-stored Karvansay built in XV century, Ashur Mosque constructed by Najaf Ashur Ibrahim oglu in 1169, Juma Mosque and fine art center Art garden.
