Azerbaijan Ataturk Center in Baku has hosted the launch of a book celebrating the 70th anniversary of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov. “Dusen Kaseinov - 70" book is a joint project of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and Azerbaijan Ataturk Center. The book contains congratulations of well-known Azerbaijani scientists, culture and public figures on the 70th jubilee of Dusen Kaseinov.

In her remarks at the event, president of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva hailed what TURKSOY has done under Dusen Kaseinov, particularly in terms of global promotion of culture of Turkic-speaking countries and the strengthening of solidarity among nations.

First deputy minister of culture and tourism Vagif Aliyev said the anniversary of Dusen Kaseinov is solemnly celebrated in several Turkic-speaking countries.

Vice president of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Isa Habibbayli hailed TURKSOY`s achievements under Dusen Kaseinov.

AZERTAC Director General Aslan Aslanov, Secretary general of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO Gulnara Aghalarova, Kazakh and Kyrgyz ambassadors to Azerbaijan Beybit Isabayev and Ayzhigit Buranov, member of the Milli Majlis Ganira Pashayeva, People`s Artists Siyavush Karimi, Rauf Abdullayev, Aghaverdi Pashayev, director of Azerbaijan National Library Karim Tahirov, founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khazar University Hamlet Isakhanlı, Merited Artists Sardar Farajov and Imruz Afandiyeva congratulated Dusen Kaseinov on his jubilee.

The event also featured a ceremony to award medals celebrating the 25th anniversary of restoration of independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
